Andrew Merlo is an attorney with over 20 years of experience representing individuals in divorce, child custody, child support, and other areas of family and business law. Merlo joined Yaffa & Associates as Of Counsel in 2016.
Merlo brings extensive experience in complex family law litigation to Yaffa & Associates. Since 1999 he has served as lead attorney in family law mediations, hearings, and trials. With every client, Merlo ensures he will be personally by your side, aggressively fighting for his clients and their rights.
In addition serving as Of Counsel with Yaffa & Associates, Merlo is the managing attorney of his own law firm, and is in house counsel for a Lake Worth, Florida automobile dealership. He is licensed to practice law in Florida, Washington D.C., and the U.S. District Court Southern District of Florida.
Admitted to The Florida Bar in 2006, Attorney Temi Nicole Zeitenberg received two undergraduate degrees from the University of Miami in Broadcasting and Political Science and her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University.
Ms. Zeitenberg has practiced law exclusively in South Florida in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
Her career began with litigating cases for the Florida Department of Children and Families, Children’s Legal Services, prosecuting cases of abuse, abandonment, and neglect of children. Additionally, she worked with the Florida Department of Children and Families, Office of General Counsel, handling a variety of matters including prosecuting cases of elderly abuse and neglect, establishing guardianships, appellate research and writing, and handling public record requests.
Upon leaving her work with the Department, Ms. Zeitenberg has practiced exclusively in the areas of family and matrimonial law.
She is well versed in the area of children’s issues and serves as a court appointed guardian ad litem for children in divorce and custody proceedings.
Luz Romero joined Yaffa & Associates an Associate Attorney in 2017. She graduated from Florida International University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and later earned her Juris Doctorate degree from Barry University School of Law in 2016.
Luz is fluent in Spanish and a member of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) and the Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA)
In law school, Luz was the Marshal of the professional law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta and a member of the Women Lawyers Association. Additionally, she was recognized as an advocate, placing in the top 32 of her law school’s Moot Court competition.
In 2015, Luz became a Supreme Court Certified Legal Intern where she represented indigent youths in Juvenile Delinquency matters.
